"How do I want to feel when I reach my 60th birthday? That was a question I asked my self 20 years ago. I knew I wanted to be at a great weight, strong, lean and no aches or pains. I began Pilates on the reformer after researching the benefits. Mostly, I was comforted with the fact that the practice of Pilates on the reformer was simple, easy, and could be done daily. It incorporated stretching and toning all at once. I am turning 60 in a few months and have never looked or felt better in my life. As a lot of my friends have knee, back and other aches and pains, I do not. I am at my high school weight and am very toned and strong from Pilates. Obviously, I made the right decision! Mission Pilates respects the practice of Pilates and focuses on teaching each client how to perform it to perfection. Pilates both stretches and strengthens your body during each class. Posture, core strength, and toning are all improved greatly. This studio encourages and promotes each client to maximize their goals. "My friend persuaded me to try out Pilates to firm up my body while losing weight. I take classes 4-5 days a week. I find the owners very personable and concerned about my previous injuries. The workouts change every day and strengthen various muscle groups. Not only am I losing inches while I lose weight, but I’m gaining strength and flexibility.
